Things to do

 sunset abereiddy

Abereiddy is 2 miles toward St Davids, a little cove with rock pools on one side and soft sand on the other.  Hours can be spent searching the rock pools for small crabs, little fish, sea urchins and shell fish. A short stroll along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path takes you to the Blue Lagoon originally the site of the old Quarry, now an inlet forming a sheltered lake where you can go coasteering rock hopping from one side to the other, or if you are lucky sit and watch the seals and choughs in their natural habitat.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be reached easily from The Lodge and takes you either North to Strumble Head or South to St Davids, if you don’t fancy walking back you can pick up one of the local buses that runs a frequent service down to all the little coves in the area.

Fishguard a little market town is just 11 miles away. Here can be found a number of shops, Pubs, Restaurants and two small supermarkets. It is also home to a Tapestry which marks the Invasion of the French in 1797 it can be seen in the Tourist Information Centre building and local Library.

A day trip to Ireland can be taken from Goodwick to Rosslare with Stena. You can either take the fast Cat which takes an hour and a half or take the larger ship which is about three and a half hours each way.

St Davids Cathedral  St Davids the smallest City in Great Britain has a beautiful Cathedral and Monastery which dates back to the 6th Centrury. There are also a number of good Restaurants, Cafés, Tea Rooms and Art Galleries.
